We are recruiting for a Grounds Person to join our small tree surgery business. In this role you will work with the owner and subcontractors to undertake the work agreed with the customers to the highest level of professionalism.
You will assist with tree, shrub and hedgerow maintenance and management, including but not limited to:
· carrying out ground works using a chainsaw, chipper, stump grinder and appropriate equipment for clearing up.
· removal of rubbish created by a job from a client’s site.
· planting trees where required.
· maintenance of all equipment used to undertake the role.
· processing wood bi-products for resale.
· supporting log deliveries.
As part of the role we will support your ever-growing knowledge of trees, shrubs, hedgerows and the environment with continued development of your practical skills.
The successful candidate will ideally hold the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Arboriculture and Forestry, including chainsaw and climbing qualifications (CS30, 31, 38 & 39), plus a full UK driving licence.
